Pentecost Season

The many Sundays that follow from Pentecost Day to the first Sunday of Advent are called the Pentecost Season in many churches. Others call this time the Trinity Season. Regardless, the season focuses our attention on the work of the Holy Spirit in the Christian Church in the hearts of those whom God has brought to faith. God’s grace moves God’s people to do good works out of thankfulness for His goodness, so the season examines this process, which is called sanctification.

Since this season is about growing in faith, the season’s color is green.
