This 4th Sunday in Advent our readings focus our attention on the truth that true Christmas Joy comes to the humble. The ultimate example is Mary. Our sermon this week will be on the words of her famous song, “The Magnificat.”

On Sunday afternoon at 3 pm we will have a community Christmas Carol and Hymn Sing, including some nice organ preludes. You will need a hymnal to follow along at home if you are viewing it online. Here is the sheet with the list: Carol Sing Hymn List
Our Christmas Eve Service is at 6:30 pm on Tuesday. It will feature a number of Christmas hymns, of course. The choir will once again sing the whole Christmas Gospel (Luke 2, King James Version). We will sing Silent Night to candlelight, and there will be a sermon on Isaiah 7:10-14, “The Gift of Christmas.” The service folder for online viewing is here: Christmas Eve Worship Folder
On Christmas Day our Festival Communion Service will be at 10:30 am. The sermon will be on John 1:1-14. The theme, from the text, is “The Word Became Flesh and Dwelled Among Us.” The Service Folder is available here: Christmas Day Service.
