What is it we human beings need more than anything else? Sin brought death into the world. Ever since our first parents fell, death has been hanging over the heads of every child brought into the world. And that need only becomes more ominous and more obvious as we pass through the stages of life. Shakespear outlined 7 of them: Infant, Schoolboy, Lover, Soldier, Middle-aged Success, Senior, and then finally Second infancy before *poof* we are gone from this world. What we need is LIFE!
Thanks be to God, thanks be to Jesus, Real Life—resurrection life—follows. That is certainly what we need the most!
When the soul separates from the body, Jesus promises eternal life to all who believe in Him.
One day I will be reunited with my believing loved ones, both soul and body. I will live with Jesus forever in eternity. Jesus raised people from the dead to prove His power over death. That’s exactly what I need.
